Janmashtami, the joyous festival celebrating Lord Krishna's birth, often involves making prasad with dairy. If your milk curdles, don't worry—here are five delicious prasad options you can prepare using curdled milk.
Press the curdled milk to extract whey, then mix the soft paneer with sugar and cardamom to create this Bengali delicacy.
Cook curdled milk with sugar until it thickens into a grainy, sweet mixture. Add cardamom for flavour and spread it in a tray to cool.
Knead the paneer made from curdled milk and shape it into balls. Boil these in sugar syrup for a spongy, syrupy treat.
Fry paneer cubes in ghee until golden, then coat them in a thick sugar syrup infused with cardamom.
Simmer crumbled paneer in milk with sugar, saffron, and nuts for a rich, creamy dessert.
