Irish coffee is a popular caffeinated drink that is known for its generous cream topping, along with Irish whiskey and coffee as its star ingredients. The drink can be served both chilled and hot, depending on preference but since the summer season has arrived, here's a recipe for chilled Irish coffee:

Ingredients

1 cup cold brew coffee 1-2 shots of Irish whiskey 1-2 teaspoons sugar or simple syrup (optional) Ice cubes 2-3 tablespoons heavy cream or milk Cocoa powder or grated nutmeg for garnish (optional)

Step 1

In a glass, combine cold brew coffee, Irish whiskey, and sugar or simple syrup (if using). Stir well until the sugar is dissolved.

Step 2

Add ice cubes to the glass to chill the mixture further and give it a refreshing coldness.

Step 3

In a separate small bowl or cup, gently whip the heavy cream or milk until it becomes slightly thickened but still pourable.

Step 4

Slowly pour the whipped cream or milk over the back of a spoon onto the surface of the coffee mixture in the glass. This helps create a layered effect.

Step 5

Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of cocoa powder or grated nutmeg on top of the cream for garnish.

Step 6

Serve immediately and enjoy your chilled Irish coffee.
