Start with a premium gin, as the base spirit sets the tone for your drink.
Use fresh, high-quality tonic water, and garnish with fresh citrus slices or herbs.
Serve G&Ts in a tall, narrow glass to keep the bubbles longer.
Large, clear ice cubes keep your drink cold without diluting it too quickly.
Gently stir the mixture to preserve the fizz.
Express citrus oils from the peel over the drink to enhance aroma.
A common ratio is 1:2, one part gin to two parts tonic.
