2 cups rava 1 cup curd 1 tsp black pepper 1/2 tsp cumin seeds 1/2 ginger 2 green and red chillies 1/4 tsp hing 1/2 tsp baking soda Salt to taste Handful of curry leaves Handful of coriander leaves Water Oil to fry

In a bowl, mix all the ingredients except baking soda and oil, make a thick batter but don't add much water.

Mix well and cover the batter. Let the batter sit for at least 15 to 20 minutes.

Now, add baking soda, mix well, and shape them into vadas.

Place a wet muslin cloth on a small bowl, tighten it, and place the batter on top. Make a hole in the center and shape the vada.

Drop it into hot oil and deep fry on low medium heat until crisp and golden brown.
