Instant Idli Recipe For Breakfast

Follow this recipe to prepare quick and delicious idli for breakfast.

Ingredients

2 cups rice flour, ½ cup poha, 1 cup urad dal flour, 1 tsp methi powder, 2 tsp salt, 1 ½ tsp fruit salt, 4 cups water, oil to grease moulds

Step 1

In a large bowl add the flours, flattened rice, salt, fenugreek powder and mix well. 

Step 2

Gradually add water and make a slightly thick batter and let it rest for ten minutes. 

Step 3

Then add an extra three tsp water, whisk properly and add fruit salt. 

Step 4

Heat water in a large pan, and add one spoon of the batter in greased idli molds. 

Step 5

Cover and steam idlis for 10- 12 minutes and then turn off the heat.  

Step 6

Let it cool and then demould them and serve with chutney.
