Enjoy the exquisite flavours of a traditional French apple dry cake. With its soft crumb and layers of finely sliced apples.
3 apples 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened 1/2 cup granulated sugar 2 large eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Preheat your oven to 175°C. Grease a cake pan or line it with parchment paper. Peel and thinly slice apples.
Take a bowl and add in flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In another bowl add butter and sugar.
Whisk butter until it becomes fluffy. Now add the eggs, add in vanilla extract too.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix well.
Now Spread batter and on top add apples make a layer doing so. Now Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes.
Now let the cake cool down. Dust the cake with powdered sugar. Slice and serve!
