Flavourful spices are combined with tofu to create this delicious tofu tikki. Works well as an excellent appetiser or even as a burger patty.
1 block of tofu 1 chopped 2 cloves of garlic 1/2 cup bread crumbs 2 tbsp cornstarch 1/4 cup fresh coriander 1 tsp cumin powder 1 tsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp red chili powder 1/2 tsp turmeric powder Salt to taste Oil for frying
In a bowl, Crumble the tofu and set aside. Take a pan and heat oil add chopped onions and garlic, saute well.
Add the crumbled tofu to the pan and mix. In a bowl, combine the bread crumbs, cornstarch, coriander and cumin powder.
Add coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well. Now Add the bread crumb mixture to the pan with the tofu.
Combine all ingredients well. Once cooled, shape the mixture into small patties or tikkis.
Heat oil and Carefully fry until golden brown and crispy. Place them on a napkin to absorb excess oil.
Serve the tofu tikkis hot with your favorite dipping sauce or chutney. Enjoy!
