Treat yourself to a heavenly experience with homemade Strawberry Donuts. These soft and moist donuts are infused with the delightful flavor of fresh strawberries, creating a burst of fruity sweetness in every bite.
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking powder ¼ tsp baking soda ¼ tsp salt ½ cup granulated sugar ¼ cup unsalted butter 1 egg ½ cup buttermilk 1 tsp vanilla extract ½ cup strawberries 1 cup powdered sugar 2 tbsp milk ½ tsp vanilla extract Pink food coloring Sprinkles for decoration
Preheat your oven to 175°C. Grease a donut pan and set aside. In a bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, melted butter, and egg until well combined.
Now Add the buttermilk and vanilla extract to the wet ingredients and mix until smooth.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix and add chopped strawberries into the batter.
Spoon the batter into a piping bag. Pipe the batter into the greased donut pan, filling each mold about 2/3 full.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes. In a bowl, whisk the powdered sugar, pink colouring, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
When they are baked cool them down and Dip each donut into the glaze, allowing any excess to drip off.
Decorate the glazed donuts with sprinkles and serve them enjoy!
