If you want to try something different with beetroot, which has a lot of nutritional benefits and a sweet colour, then you need to try this beetroot curry. Don't just go for salads and vinegarette pickles; make this curry that your family will love.
2 large beets 1 onion 2 cloves garlic 1 inch ginger 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon garam masala Salt to taste 1 cup water 1 tablespoon oil
Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, onion, garlic, ginger, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
Cook for a few seconds and add the cubed beetroot with water.
Serve hot with rice or roti.
