1 liter full-fat milk 1/4 cup basmati rice 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 tsp cardamom powder 2 tbsp chopped nuts A few strands of saffron 1 tbsp rose water A pinch of edible camphor
In a pan boil milk. Add the soaked rice and add it to the boiling milk. Stir well.
Cook until the rice is tender and the milk has thickened to a creamy consistency.
Add sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron strands to the kheer. Stir well to combine.
Now Remove the pan from heat and let the kheer cool to room temperature.
Once cooled, add chopped nuts, rose water, and a pinch of edible camphor Mix well.
Refrigerate the kheer. Garnish with more chopped nuts and saffron strands.
