Pindi chana, also known as Pindi Chole is a cherished dish in India and Pakistan. The recipe is popularly enjoyed in both Lahore and Amritsar creating a comparison on whose pindi chana is better.
This version of pindi chole is known for its bold flavours of chickpeas and spices. Not only that but the curry also features pomegranate seeds and is often sold and enjoyed as a street food in Amritsar.
The dish that originated in Rawalpindi, Pakistan is different than the regular chole curry. This version features the use of tea leaves to give the curry its dark brownish colour.
While both dishes taste fantastic, you can elevate them to the next level by serving them alongside roti, naan, bhature, kulcha, and some chopped onions.
Along with the flatbreads, you can also serve Lassi or buttermilk to make the experience and meal even more delicious.
Both the variations are delicious in their own right and it all depends on preference. But whichever one you choose, you won't be left unsatisfied.
