India is going to celebrate its 78th Independence Day on 15th August. And what’s a better way to celebrate the country’s freedom than with tricolour sweets that represent the national flag? Here are some ideas you can try.

Modak

If you want to make a traditional sweet, you can make modak in three different colours: saffron-infused orange, classic white, and a pistachio paste for the green.

Cake

A tricolour cake is the easiest way to throw an Independence Day-themed party. Just bake three coloured batches and stack them together with cream.

Cookies

Add some natural colour to classic vanilla cookie dough and arrange them as per the tricolour for Independence Day.

Parfait

For a healthy dessert, you can make parfait by layering coloured cream or chopped fruits.

Sundae

With three flavours of ice cream, orange, vanilla, and mint, you can make a tricolour sundae and serve the themed dessert.
