In some schools, peda is distributed if it is a regional delicacy. Prepared with khoya, this delight offers a melt-in-the-mouth experience.
Soan papdi is not a national sweet of India only on Diwali. It makes a guest appearance on August 15 every year.
If it is a happy celebration, rasgulla has to be a part of the spread. It can often be replaced by gulab jamun, but it is an integral part of the celebration.
Some schools also distribute sweets like kaju barfi, coconut barfi, and pista barfi. Not only are these delicious but they also have low sugar content compared to others.
