Increase The Iron Dose With These Foods

By Deepali Verma

It is necessary to ensure that you are getting an adequate intake of this essential mineral by consuming meals that are rich in iron. The following is a list of foods that are high in iron and you should include in your diet.

Legumes

There is a lot of iron in beans, lentils, chickpeas, and soybeans. They're a great source of extra nutrients, and they're full in fibre, too.

Nuts and seeds

Iron-rich foods include almonds, cashews, pumpkin seeds, and sesame seeds. They can be eaten as snacks or incorporated to recipes.

Tofu and tempeh

These soy-based foods are an excellent source of iron, especially when cooked with other iron-rich components.

Poultry

The iron content in poultry like chicken and turkey is high. Take off the skin to cut down on the amount of saturated fat.

Iron level in dark chocolate with a high cocoa percentage is more than one might expect. Treat yourself to it every once in a while.
