The monsoon season is just around the corner and this traditional beverage is made with staple pantry ingredients, is highly nourishing, and is a great way to boost your immunity. Here's a recipe for you to try:
1 cup of milk 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon ajwain 1 teaspoon of honey or jaggery A pinch of black pepper (optional, enhances turmeric absorption)
Heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Add the ajwain, turmeric powder, and a dash of black pepper, if using.
Simmer the mixture for five minutes, stirring now and again.
To get rid of the ajwain seeds, strain the milk into a cup. If desired, stir in jaggery or honey.
