Imarti is a rich version of jalebi with more texture and less sweetness. Imarti may seem difficult to make, but it is actually very easy. Try this recipe at home to easily impress your guests with homemade sweets and desserts.
For the batter: 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 cup gram flour 1/4 cup yoghurt 1/4 cup water 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon saffron strands Oil for deep frying For the sugar syrup: 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup water 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
Mix all-purpose flour, gram flour, yoghurt, water, baking soda, and saffron strands. Mix well to form a smooth batter.
Using an imarti making tool, pour the batter into the hot oil in a circular pattern.
Fry until golden brown and crispy. Immediately soak the fried imarti in the sugar syrup.
