Leftover cheese can quickly lose its flavour and texture if not stored correctly. Follow these simple tips to ensure your cheese stays fresh for longer!
Use wax paper or parchment paper to wrap the cheese, allowing it to breathe without drying out. Avoid plastic wrap directly on the cheese.
Place the wrapped cheese in an airtight container or a resealable bag to prevent moisture loss and odour absorption.
Store cheese in the cheese drawer or lower part of the fridge, where the temperature is most stable.
Always label your cheese with the date of storage to keep track of its freshness.
Hard cheeses like cheddar can be frozen. Wrap them well and thaw in the fridge before use.
