This pomegranate smoothie is a vegan delight and the recipe offers a refreshing, sweet-tart blend made with freshly extracted pomegranate juice and creamy almond milk. Here is a recipe to try:
2 cups pomegranate arils or 1 cup pomegranate juice 1 cup almond milk (plain, vanilla, or cocoa-flavoured) 1-2 tablespoons raw sugar (optional), or maple syrup, honey, or regular sugar
Add pomegranate arils to the juice extractor or electric juicer. Extract the pomegranate juice and pour it into a blender jar.
Add the almond milk to the blender jar. Optionally, add 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder if you are using plain almond milk.
Sweeten with 1-2 tbsp of raw sugar, maple syrup, honey, or regular sugar. Blend the mixture until smooth.
Pour the pomegranate smoothie into a glass and serve immediately.
