Dry roast sesame seeds for 8-10 minutes on a pan. Remove from heat when the colour changes.
In a deep pan, heat some ghee and add jaggery. Cook for 5-6 minutes.
Add the roasted sesame seeds, cardamom powder and optionally, add peanuts. Cook for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
Take the mixture off flame and spread it on a thali, after greasing it with ghee..
Put some water on your palms. Take small portions of the lmixture and make laddoos. Store them in an air-tight container.
