Mirchi ki Tipore is a spicy Rajasthani dish that adds a fiery kick to any meal, perfect for chili lovers.
300 grams large green chili 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon fennel seeds ½ teaspoon mustard seeds ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder ½ teaspoon red chili powder ¼ teaspoon asafoetida powder 2 tablespoons coriander powder 1-2 tablespoons water (optional) 1 tablespoon oil (2 tablespoons if storing for travel) Salt to taste
Rinse and dry green chilies. Cut off ends, slit, and remove seeds. Cut into 1-inch pieces.
Heat oil in a heavy-bottom pot. Add cumin, fennel, and mustard seeds. Let them splutter. Add turmeric powder, then green chilies. Mix well.
Add coriander powder, salt, and asafoetida. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add few drops of water if necessary.
Add red chili powder and cook for 1-2 minutes. Stir in raw mango powder. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes before storing.
