How To Make Traditional Madras Filter Coffee

The Madras Filter coffee is now a global sensation for its flavour and technique. It is an art to prepare this delish drink and we are here to help you with it.  

Ingredients

3-4 tablespoons of good quality coffee powder, coffee filter, sugar, milk, water 

Step 1

In the coffee filter, add 3-4 tablespoons of coffee powder and a pinch of sugar. 

Step 2

Boil about 200 ml of water, and one half of the water and wait till it percolates, and then add the rest, cover the filter and wait. Keep this concoction aside. 

Step 3

Boil milk in pan, pour one or two cups of milk in an empty cup and then back in pan to make the milk more frothy. Add sugar as per preference.  

Step 4

Pour concoction in tumblers, slowly add milk till it reaches the brim. Serve coffee hot.
