Simple Steps To Make Ketchup At Home

Tomato ketchup is a condiment that is available in every Indian kitchen. But how amazing would it be if we knew how to make it at home, instead of buying a processed bottle of tomato ketchup?

Ingredients

All you need to make tomato ketchup at home is tomato, olive oil, garlic, raisins, ginger, dry red chillies, vinegar, sugar and salt.

Step 1

Take 1 kgs of fresh tomatoes and put them in a large slow cooker. Add the rest of the ingredients, except olive oil.

Step 2

Let the tomatoes cook till the entire mixture had reduced to the half. Take it off the heat and let it cool.

Step 3

After the mixture has cooled down, put it in a blender, add olive oil and blend it till it makes a thick texture.

Step 4

Adjust the salt and pepper. Take a clean, glass container that is air tight and store it for several days. Enjoy the ketchup with fries, burgers and other Indian snacks.
