How To Make The Easiest Aloo Tikki

Aloo tikki, is a simple potato patty seasoned with all kinds of masalas. Top it with dahi or chutney, or smear it in sauce of your liking, you are in for a treat.

Ingredients

5 medium sized potatoes 5-6 green chillies 5 bread slices 2-3 tablespoonOil Oil for deep frying Salt as required

Step 1

Take the potatoes and boil the, mash while still hot.  

Step 2

Dry grind bread slices. In another bowl, mix mashed potatoes, green chillies, bread crumbs and salt. 

Step 3

Mix until you have a smooth dough, divide the dough in equal-sized portions, press to make even patties. 

Step 4

Shape them using greased palms, the patties should be slightly flattened. 

Step 5

Deep-fry in hot oil until the tikkis are golden. Serve hot with tomato chutney or mint chutney.
