Season change brings with is a host of seasonal infections, making instances of cold, cough and flu even more prominent.
Eating ginger is an age-old remedy to keep these infections at bay. The active compound in ginger, called gingerol is packed with anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidants that are very helpful.
Take two small gingers and cut them into desired sized pieces.
Combine 1/2 cup lemon juice, 1/4 teaspoon carom seeds, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, 1/4 teaspoon chaat masala, and 2 teaspoons, honey, in a glass jar. Store and eat when required.
Alternatively, you can wash two tiny pieces of ginger and roast until charred. Remove burnt skin, chop further.
Add these ginger pieces to a glass container along with 1/2 cup of honey. Add 2 tsp black pepper powder and 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder, followed by some lemon juice.
