How To Make Street-Style Paneer Momos

Momos are one of the crown jewels of Indian street food. It is a dumpling stuffed with a variety of fillings, here’s how to make the very popular Paneer Momos.

Ingredients: 

Maida 1 cup Salt per taste Paneer 250 grams Soya sauce 1 teaspoon Cabbage grated 1/4 portion Carrot 1 small Pepper as per taste Coriander for garnishing Oil for frying Water to make dough

Step 1

Take the flour and add water gradually to make a stuff dough. Let it rest for 15 minutes.  

Soya Momos

Step 2

Boil cabbage and carrots. In another pan cook a mix of grated paneer, carrot and cabbage. Spice the mixture with salt and pepper. Add soya sauce. Let the mixture dry up a bit.

Step 3

Go back to the dough, pull out small balls and roll them flat. Place some mixture in the centre of each of these circles and start gathering the edges to make a sealed dumpling. Pinch from top to close all sides.

Step 4

Take a steamer, pre heat it for 10 minutes. Place the dumplings inside and steam for 10 minutes. Serve hot with momo chutney.
