How To Make Sambar Masala At Home

Make your sambar more delicious with this homemade flavourful and aromatic sambar masala recipe.

Ingredients

2 cups whole red pepper, 1 ½ cups coriander seeds, 2 tbsp mustard seeds, 3 tbsp cumin seeds, 4 tsp peppercorns, 2 tbsp fenugreek seeds, 2 tbsp black gram, 2 tbsp Bengal gram, 2 tbsp yellow lentils, 2 tbsp rice, 2 tbsp asafoetida, 2 tbsp turmeric powder, 1/4 cup dried curry leaves

Step 1

Put both the grams on the pan and fry till they turn light brown and keep it aside.

Step 2

Then put all of the spices in the same pan and fry until light brown.

Step 3

Let them cool down properly.

Step 4

Then mix both spices and grams together..

Step 5

And grind to make a fine powder and store in an airtight container.
