How To Make Rava Ladoo In Less Than 30 Minutes

Did you know, Ladoos were once used as medicines by Ayurvedic physicians, now of course it has donned an indulgent makeover but our heart still beats for simple classic ladoos, like Rava Ladoo.  

Ingredients

1 tablespoon ghee 1/4 cup cashew nuts roughly chopped 1/2 cup raisins 2 cup rava 3/4 cup sugar powder 1 tbsp hee for roasting + 0.5 cup ghee for mixing 1/4 cup desiccated coconut 2 teaspoon cardamom powder Milk

Step 1

In a pan heat ghee, cashew nuts. Sautee on medium heat till brown and crisp. Then add raisins and sautee till they puff up. Turn off the heat, transfer them in a bowl. 

Step 2

In the pan add ghee, rava and sautee continuously, ensure Rava browns evenly. Cook 4-5 minutes. Turn off the heat.  

Step 3

Add sugar, desiccated coconut, cardamom powder and roasted rava in a grinder. Pulse to get a slightly coarse texture. 

Step 4

Combine the ground mixture, ghee, roasted cashews and raisins and start shaping round ladoos (balls) using clean hands.
