Do you want to make a batch of rava idlis instantly, but don’t have curd on hand? No problem. With this easy-to-follow recipe, you can make fluffy idlis in a few minutes without having to add curd.
1 cup rava 1/2 cup chopped veggies 1/2 tsp mustard seeds 1/2 tsp urad dal Few curry leaves Pinch of chopped green chilli 1/4 tsp baking soda 1/2 cup water Salt to taste Oil for tempering
Heat oil and add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, and chillies. Dry roast rava and let it cool.
Add in roasted rava, chopped veggies, and tempered spices.
Gradually add water till you get a smooth batter. Mix in salt and baking soda. Let it rest.
Grease the idli moulds, pour the batter into the moulds, and steam.
Serve hot with sambar and coconut chutney.
