Chur chur naan is a popular Punjabi flatbread that is known for its flaky texture. The crumbly profile of the naan makes it just melt in your mouth. You can pair it with a curry, dal, or sabzi for a wholesome meal.
For The dough: 4 cups all-purpose flour 1.5 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda ¼ cup ghee 3 tbsp curd Warm water as needed For The Stuffing: 1 cup grated paneer 1 cup mashed potato ¼ cup chopped onion 2 green chillies, chopped 1 tbsp coriander seeds 1.5 tsp cumin seeds ½ tsp garam masala ½ tsp red chilli powder 1 tbsp anardana powder Salt to taste 2 tbsp chopped coriander
Dry roast coriander and cumin seeds. Grind them into a powder.
Mix grated paneer, mashed potato, chopped onion, green chillies, and spices. Set aside.
Knead a dough with flour, baking soda, salt, ghee, and curd. Let it rest.
Take small portions of the dough and roll into circles. Sprinkle some flour and roll it into a cigar-like shape.
Again, roll the cigar into a flat circle, add a spoonful of stuffing, and seal the edges.
Flatten the stuffed dough into a thick circle and cook it on a tawa till golden brown.
