How To Make Maharashtrian Sol Kadhi With Kokum At Home

Sol Kadhi is a refreshing and cooling beverage from coastal India, made with kokum and coconut milk. It's perfect for beating the heat and aiding digestion. 

Ingredients

10-12 dried kokum 1 cup fresh coconut milk 1-2 green chilies 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 2 cloves garlic Salt to taste Fresh coriander leaves, chopped 

Step 1 

Soak the kokum in 1 cup of warm water for 30 minutes. Squeeze and strain the kokum to extract the juice. 

Step 2

In a blender, add green chilies, cumin seeds, and garlic, and blend into a smooth paste. Mix the kokum juice with coconut milk and add the spice paste. Add salt to taste and garnish with chopped coriander leaves. 

Step 3

Chill in the refrigerator for an hour before serving. Enjoy!
