How To Make Healthy Quinoa Salad

 Quinoa is a superfood that is packed with nutrients. It is known as a pseudo grain because it is more of a seed than a grain. Let us look at a healthy quinoa salad recipe.

Step 1

Take a cup of quinoa and boil it for 15 minutes in 2 cups of water. Do not cover the quinoa with any lid while cooking. Once done, drain it and keep it aside.

Step 2

Take vegetables of your choice like carrots, capsicum, mushrooms, onion and beans and chop them evenly to maintain the texture.

Step 3

Heat up olive oil in a pan and add your vegetables one by one. If you are adding onions, they must go first, followed by other veggies.

Step 4

Add salt and pepper seasoning to your vegetables. Cook  on medium flame for 5-6 minutes till the veggies are cooked, but still have a crunch.

Step 5

In a mixing bowl, add the quinoa, sauteed veggies and squeeze half a lemon in it. If you like your food spicy, sprinkle chilli flakes. Mix it well and your quinoa salad is ready.
