Gobi Paratha is a spiced cauliflower-stuffed Indian bread, perfect for breakfast or lunch. This simple recipe blends aromatic spices with cauliflower, making it a delightful alternative to the classic aloo paratha.
½ gobi, grated ½ tsp garam masala ½ tsp cumin powder ½ tsp coriander powder ½ tsp aamchur ½ tsp salt 1 inch ginger, grated 2 chillies, finely chopped 2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped 2 cups wheat flour ½ tsp salt ½ tsp ajwain Water for kneading Oil for roasting
Grate ½ gobi and set it aside. Mix grated gobi with spices, ginger, chillies, and coriander in a bowl.
Prepare the dough by mixing wheat flour, salt, ajwain, and water until smooth.
Roll a small dough ball into a 4-inch circle and place the gobi filling in the centre.
Pleat the edges of the dough to enclose the filling and roll it slightly thick.
Cook the paratha on a hot tawa for a minute, then flip and brush with oil.
Flip again until both sides are golden and cooked. Serve hot with pickle or raita.
