These crispy aloo cheese balls are delicious and are easy to make at home. This snack can be made as an appetiser at a party or a rainy day snack. Here is how to make this:
1 large potato 60 grams of cheese ¼ tsp black pepper crushed ½ tsp cumin powder 1 pinch Garam Masala chopped coriander leaves 4 tsp gram flour salt oil for deep frying
Boil potatoes, peel and mash them well in a mixing bowl.
Allow the potatoes to come at room temperature.
Add cheese and keep aside.
Add black pepper powder, cumin powder, garam masala (optional) and coriander leaves.
Add gram flour (besan) and mix it well.
Add the grated cheese and black salt.
Mix the cheese with the rest of the potato mixture very well.
Make small balls from the mixture and one tiny ball to test while frying.
Heat oil for deep frying in a kadai or pan.
The oil has to be hot; otherwise, the cheese balls may break.
Add the remaining potato cheese balls.
With a slotted spoon, turn over when the balls get to become golden. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or chutney.
