Fruit loaf is an impeccable tea-time accompaniment and also works great as a sweet breakfast addition. If you’re looking to make your weekend special, here’s an easy recipe for fruit loaf to add to your relaxing days.
Maida - 3 cups Water - 2 cups Powdered sugar - 2 cups Dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, cherries, apricots) - 2 cups Eggs - 2 Butter - 2 tablespoons Baking soda - 1 teaspoon Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon Nutmeg - 1/2 teaspoon
Heat some water in a pan and add dried fruits and sugar till the sugar dissolves.
Let the water cool for about half an hour till the fruits are plump.
Preheat the oven while you whisk the dry ingredients like flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg together.
Mix the butter and eggs with the fruit mixture.
Gently combine the dry and wet ingredients.
Pour the batter into a greased pan and let it bake for about an hour.
Let the fruit loaf cool down before you slice it, and enjoy.
