How To Make Boondi Ladoo At Home? Follow This Step-Wise Guide

The yellow-coloured boondi ladoo is a popular Indian sweet made with fried besan mixed in sugar syrup. If you want to try your hands at making these ladoos at home, this guide is all you need.

Ingredients

1.5 cups besan 1 cup water ½ teaspoon cardamom powder 1 tablespoon ghee, for frying Oil for deep frying 1.5 cups sugar 1 cup water 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder 2 tablespoons chopped cashews 2 tablespoons chopped pistachios

Step 1

Sift besan into a large bowl. Gradually add water for a consistent batter.

Step 2

Heat some oil and pour the batter through a perforated spoon or boondi mould, creating tiny droplets.

Step 3

Fry until golden brown, then drain on paper towels. Repeat with the remaining batter.

Step 4

In a separate pan, combine sugar and water. Simmer for a few minutes till the syrup thickens.

Step 5

Add the fried boondi, cashews, and pistachios to the warm sugar syrup. Mix well.

Step 6

Shape balls out of the mixture, and the ladoos will be ready to serve.
