Among many fruits, cutting a pineapple might be tricky. Oddly cut shapes and mushy sides may not be enjoyable by many, especially kids. Learn how to cut a pineapple so that it looks pretty without wasting much of the fruit or turning the pieces into a mush.
A large, sharp knife Spoon Gloves
Put on gloves.
Cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple, including the green leaves.
Set it straight and cut the pineapple in half lengthwise.
Using a spoon, scoop out the tough, fibrous core from the centre of each half.
Cut each half into wedges, following the natural lines of the fruit.
