An aromatic drink that delights the senses, homemade Masala Coffee is perfect for rainy monsoon days. Rich in spices, creamy in texture, and topped with cinnamon and cocoa, it’s a treat in every sip.
1 cup milk (full cream, low fat, or almond) 1 tsp sugar 2 green cardamom pods 1 tsp fresh ginger, pounded 1 tbsp roasted coffee 1 cinnamon stick Ground cinnamon and cocoa for garnish
Heat the milk and sugar in a saucepan over low heat until it begins to boil.
Add lightly pounded cardamom pods and ginger to the milk.
Stir in the roasted coffee and cinnamon stick, then simmer for 3 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the mixture through a fine sieve.
Pour the sieved Masala Coffee into a glass. Garnish with ground cinnamon and cocoa. Enjoy your warm, spiced coffee!
