Boiling chicken seems simple, but getting it just right can make all the difference in texture and flavour. Here’s how to achieve tender, juicy chicken every time.
Use either bone-in or boneless pieces. Fresh or thawed chicken is ideal for even cooking.
Place chicken in a pot and cover it with cold water. Add salt, herbs, garlic, and a splash of lemon juice for extra flavour.
Bring the water to a boil on medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce to a simmer.
Cook for 15-20 minutes for boneless, and 30 minutes for bone-in. The internal temperature should reach 75°C. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing.
