Made with gram flour and yogurt, this comforting dish is perfect for a filling lunch when paired with rice. Here is the recipe.
4 cups water, 2 cups yogurt, 2 tsp gram flour, 4 green chilli, 1 tsp ginger, 1 tsp sugar, ½ tsp ground turmeric, salt to taste, 1 tsp vegetable oil, 1 tsp ghee, 2 red chilli, 1 sprig curry leaves, ½ tsp cumin seeds, ½ tsp mustard seeds, 1 pinch asafoetida powder, ¼ cup cilantro leaves
Mix water, yogurt, and gram flour together in a large saucepan until smooth then add the green chilli, ginger, sugar, turmeric, and salt.
Bring the mixture to a boil then, immediately reduce heat to low and cook on low 5 to 10 minutes.
Heat the oil and ghee together in a small skillet and fry red chilli, curry leaves, cumin seeds, mustard seed, and asafetida powder until the seeds splutter.
Stir the mixture into the saucepan and sprinkle cilantro leaves on top.
Serve hot with steamed rice.
