SPeaking at 2.2 million SHU, The Carolina Reaper is the hottest pepper in the world. It is twenty times hotter than a jalapeno.
This is one of the more recently discovered chilies native to Trinidad and Tobago. It can reach up to 2.09 million SHU.
Also called ghost pepper, the widely popular chili is cultivated majorly in Assam and North East India. The SHU count of this pepper is 1.04 million.
An extremely rare hybrid chili that is only cultivated in the United Kingdom, this new pepper variety reaches till 1.3 million SHU.
Another spicy chili variant, it is native to Australia. Peaking at 1.46 SHU, the burn from a Butch T is like no other.
