We've all heard about the magical healing powers of hot toddy, but this version gives it a modern makeover using gin instead of brandy or whisky.
50ml gin 50ml freshly squeezed orange juice 50ml lemon juice ½ lemon, sliced 2 cloves 2 cardamom pods, lightly crushed 1 cinnamon stick 2 tsp honey
In a saucepan heat all the ingredients over a low heat until fragrant and then strain off the spices and fruit. Divide the gin into two glasses and pour over the hot spice mixture and serve garnished with lemon slices.
