Homemade Red Lentil Tofu: A Perfect Protein Rich Plant Based Alternative

Tofu prepared from red lentils is a nutritional and plant-based alternative to standard tofu. It is also a versatile ingredient that can be used in a wide variety of dishes. 

Ingredients

3/4 cup split red lentils 2 1/4 cup water option to add salt 

Step 1 

Rinse the lentils well, then soak them for a minimum of 4 hours to overnight. Drain the water and rinse again. 

Step 2 

Add to a blender with 2 cups fresh water and blend until perfectly smooth. 

Step 3 

Add to a blender with 2 cups fresh water and blend until perfectly smooth. 

Step 4  

Transfer to a glass container, and let set in the fridge overnight. 

Step 5
