Ragi ladoo is a healthy and tasty treat to satisfy your sweet cravings. It is made with finger millet (ragi) these ladoos are rich in calcium, iron and fibre. Here is a simple recipe to make ragi ladoos that are healthy and tasty.
1 cup ragi flour ½ cup jaggery, grated ¼ cup ghee 2 tbsp roasted gram flour (optional, if needed for binding) ¼ cup chopped nuts (almonds and cashews) 1 tbsp sesame seeds ½ tsp cardamom powder
Dry roast the ragi flour in a heavy-bottomed pan on low flame for 8-10 minutes until it gives a nutty aroma.
Add ghee and roasted gram flour if using and mix well.
Add the grated jaggery and cook for a minute or two until it melts and mixes with the ragi.
Add chopped nuts, sesame seeds and cardamom powder and mix well.
Remove from heat. While warm, take small portions and shape them into ladoos.
Let the ladoos cool and store them in an airtight container.
