Mango posset is a luscious, creamy dessert that combines the tropical sweetness of mango with the smooth texture of cream. This is a simple yet elegant dish that is perfect for summer season that provides a refreshing end to any meal. Take a look at the recipe here:
2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced 2 cups heavy cream 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
Blend the diced mangoes until smooth. If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve to remove any fibrous bits. Set aside.
In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream and granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture reaches a gentle boil. Continue to boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent the cream from scorching.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the fresh lemon juice. The acid from the lemon juice will cause the cream to thicken as it cools.
Gently fold the mango puree into the cream mixture until well combined. Pour the mixture into serving glasses or ramekins. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
Garnish with fresh mango slices or a sprig of mint before serving.
