Keera dosa, also known as cucumber dosa, is a simple and healthy South Indian dish made primarily with rice and cucumber. It doesn't require fermentation and uses minimal ingredients, making it a quick and easy breakfast option.
2 cucumbers 3 cups idli rice ½ cup grated coconut 3 green chillies 2 pieces of ginger Salt (to taste)
Wash and soak 3 cups of idli rice for at least 2 hours. Chop the cucumbers roughly after cutting off the ends.
Drain the water from the soaked rice completely. Grind the chopped cucumber, ginger, green chillies, and rice together with salt until slightly coarse.
Add water in small quantities only if needed; cucumber will release water. Ensure the batter consistency is slightly runny compared to idli-dosa batter.
Heat a tawa and spread 2 ladles of the prepared batter on it. Drizzle a minimal amount of oil over the batter.
Cook both sides by flipping, about a minute per side. Use oil only if necessary, and add it after spreading the batter.
