Learn to make a creamy and fresh fruit custard with this simple recipe. Enjoy a delightful blend of seasonal fruits mixed with a rich vanilla custard sauce – a perfect dessert option for any occasion.
2.5 cups whole milk 5 tbsp sugar 3 tbsp custard powder 3 tbsp warm milk (at room temperature) 1.5 to 2 cups chopped mixed fruits (apples, mangoes, bananas, pears, strawberries, pomegranate)
Heat 2.5 cups of milk in a thick-bottomed pan until it simmers gently.
Mix 3 tbsp custard powder with 3 tbsp warm milk in a small bowl until smooth.
Add 5 tbsp sugar to the heated milk, stirring well until it dissolves completely. Gradually pour the custard mixture into the milk, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
Cook on low heat for 5-6 minutes, stirring until the custard thickens. Let it cool.
Once cooled, mix in 1.5 to 2 cups of chopped fruits and combine thoroughly.
Garnish with extra fruits or nuts, and serve your homemade fruit custard chilled!
