Homemade Amritsari Paneer Kulcha: A Lunch Delight For Rainy Afternoons

Stuffed with spicy paneer filling, these fluffy and crispy breads will transport you to the streets of Amritsar with every bite.

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking powder ½ tsp baking soda ½ tsp salt 2 tbsp oil ½ cup yogurt Water (as needed) 1 cup grated paneer 1 onion, chopped 1 green chili, chopped 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp chaat masala 1 tsp red chili powder Salt to taste Butter or ghee

Step 1

Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, oil, and yogurt to make a soft dough.

Step 2

Now Rest the dough for 2 hours. In a bowl add grated paneer, onion, green chili and coriander leaves.

Step 3

Add ginger-garlic paste, chaat masala, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well. Divide the dough into small balls.

Step 4

Now stuff each balls with the desired amount of filling and  Roll out each ball into a circular shape.

Step 5

Cook on a hot tawa, flipping and adding butter or ghee until golden brown.

Step 6

Serve hot with yogurt, pickle, or chole. Enjoy this tasty Amritsari kulcha at home!
