Sure, your wine glasses are some of the fanciest additions to your home bar, but cleaning them can be a hassle as they demand utmost care and attention. Here’s the right way to go about it.
Run a sponge soaked in dishwashing liquid gently inside and outside the glass, you can use a cleaning brush too. Use minimum liquid, rinse the glass with hot water.
After rinsing, allow them to dry up immediately to avoid soap and watermarks. Use clean microfibre cloth to avoid stains.
To erase the wine stain on the base of the glass, place a small amount of warm water in the bottom of the glass and swirl it around.
If odour is a problem, use white vinegar or grappa to remove a dark stain, such as that of lipstick.
If using a dishwasher, make sure it is properly loaded. Place glasses firmly upside down, and ensure it is not rubbing against other dishes to avoid cracks.
