Pink Rose Gujiya is a festive treat that mixes traditional flavours with a floral twist. Indulge in the lovely essence of Holi with its exquisite sweetness.
1 cup all-purpose flour 2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter) 1/4 cup powdered sugar 2 tablespoons dried rose petals 1/4 cup khoya (mawa) 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios) Oil for frying Pink food coloring (optional)
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and ghee until crumbly. Gradually add water to form a firm dough. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the filling by mixing powdered sugar, dried rose petals, khoya, and chopped nuts. Roll out small portions of the dough into circles. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center, fold, and seal the edges.
Heat oil in a pan and fry the gujiyas until golden brown. Serve the Pink Rose Gujiyas warm and enjoy the festive flavours of Holi!
