Think you cannot have as much protein on a vegetarian diet? Then you have to try this humble Indian crepe made of, high-protein chikpea flour and veggies, filled with cottage (bonus protein).
1.25 cup besan 1.25 teaspoon chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander 4 teaspoon oil for cooking ½ cup crumbled paneer
Combine besan, chilli powder, haldi, asafoetida, salt and approximately ¾ cups of water in a bowl. Whisk well. Add coriander, mix well.
Heat non-stick tawa, pour a ladleful of batter and spread in circular motion outwards.
Smear 1 tsp oil evenly on top and the edges, cook on medium flame, until chila is golden. Flip over, cook on medium flame again.
Place the crumbled paneer on the centre of the cheela. Fold and serve hot with chutney.
